Needing some advice as to a good place to eat or chow on my way from Phoenix to LA, Blythe is a good mid point anyone ever encounter a decent restaurant here?

I spent two weeks in Blythe one night, and no, there aren't any decent restaurants there. Fast food is your friend in Blythe.

I've had fast food in Blythe, and it was not my friend! If forced to eat in this burg again, I'd go to the Starbucks and get one of those cheese and fruit plates. Better alternative: it's only about an hour-and-a-half to the Coachella Valley, where you can have a decent roadfood meal not far from the freeway -- the Burger Box, e.g. (81201 Indio Blvd., Indio).

I stand corrected. Even fast food in Blythe stinks!

A few years back I had the extreme misfortune to be based in Blythe for 21 days of work in the adjacent desert with a brief break in civilization followed by another 18 days of culinary misery. Popeye's was tolerable a couple of times and then.............
Maybe there is something new out there?
