Food Related Events Happening around Labor Day Weekend

Are there are any NYC Food Related events (not including the elongated Restaurant Week) that are happening around Labor Day Weekend?

In case you are doing a search for it, the proper name is the West Indian Day parade. And I agree with the other posters, it's terrific.

The Caribbean Parade iis held along Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn (very easy to reach by subway)i.s wonderful fun. It's the biggest Caribbean parade in North America- thousands of marchers, tens of thousands of people come to watch. Great music and costumes - but equally import- great food.. Dozens of vendors- my favs are the fish cakes, but just about every Island specialty is available.

Okay thanks for the tip. We usually take the LIRR into the Penn and then go from there as our base.

Ask on the Outer Boroughs board about the Caribbean Labor Day Parade
