Sub's in or very close to Northridge

Looking for a non chain sub shop. If anyone is familiar with sub shops back east, little mom and pop type shops is what Im looking for. Looking for suggestions of places along those lines, not to expensive, delivery would be nice, have the option to toast the sub (not like subway considers toasting either) but in an actual resturant oven. Just looking to the Northridge area or very close, want to find a "go to" place. I've been to My Hero, the old Gimela's when it was on Reseda. Thanks for the help!

Italia in Granada Hills or San Carlo Deli in Chatsworth. Haven't been to Italia in a while, but San Carlo is always great.

My Dad used to love Giamela's in Northridge. I haven't been there in years so I can't vouch for it now. Anyone?

I don't think that they toast the bread but DeFrankos on Woodley just south of Saticoy is close to Northridge and makes pretty good sandwiches. Matt and Tonys is good too.

Try Matt and Tony's on Sepulveda (if they're still around; it's been a few years since I've been there)

I like the couple of subs that I've had at Cavaretta's Italian Groceries. Walk in, take a whiff and decide!
