Scallop dinner for Mom in Va. Beach/Norfolk

Taking my 79-year old Mom out for a birthday dinner this weekend in Va. Beach/Norfolk area. I don't live there anymore so I have lost touch on where to go for a good scallop (fried or grilled) dinner.

What are your recommendations?

Thanks,

A.W. Shucks in Norfolk--sauteed scallops, garlic green beans and corn
Any of the many Surfriders for fried scallops and great crabcakes too.

If you want upscale, go to Steinhilbers in the Thalia area of Va Beach. The classic old Va Beach seafood restaurant.

If you want middle-of-the-road, go to Croakers on Shore Drive near the Lesner Bridge in Va Beach. Good portions of seafood.

If you want down-to-earth go to Margie and Rays off of Sandbridge Road in Va Beach. They have a dinner called the "Hurricane Margie" that serves 3 to 4 people easily for about $35.00. It's a pile of fried seafood on a huge bed of french fries. You'll take some home!
