Sayville/Bay Shore LI recommendations?

BernieBrewer Aug 17, 2010 09:50 AM

Flying into LGA Wednesday, then driving to Islandia for a work trip. Anything Chow-worthy between the airport and Islandia on my drive in or out?

Suggestions for dinner Wed. night in Sayville, Bay Shore, or anywhere else nearby?

Suggestions for breakfast on Friday before I head back to LGA?

Thanks!

Pho Vietnamese Restaurant on Prince St, Flushing. Just across from a small Muni-meter parking lot. Don't miss the crispy spring rolls and pho.

Heading south, Masala Wok, 107 Broadway (Rte 107), Hicksville. Manchurian cauliflower and lamb chops are especially recommended. love the Manchow soup, too.

For breakfast, Maureen's Kitchen, on Terry Rd, Smithtown, can't be beat. Gets very crowded, though, and cash only.

In Bay Shore you could try Aji 53 or Lake House

One of my favorites is Kingston's Clam Bar at the end of (130) Atlantic Avenue in West Sayville. You eat in tables two feet from the water's edge. Food is super fresh and real Long Island fare. It is NOT fancy. Shoes and tops are required.
