Outstanding Tandori Lamb
While visiting Harvard, we discover this Cafe and had a wonderful meal
of a Tandori Lamb dish and a seafood tandori masala. Both we spiced just right for our tastes(medium) and accompanied by tasty condiments. The naan was hot and flavorful. The eggplant side was very nice.
We passed on the dessert, but the couple next to us said the homemade ice cream custard was
excellent. I'd return on another visit.

We dined at the Cafe of India. It was the nightly special and was a rack of lamb, 6 ribs and very tender. Best I've had, for sure.

Wow, this is good to hear. Cafe of India is usually very middling at best. I only go there because I have a friend who loves it . . . I think mostly due to the restaurant.com coupons combined with their "Special Dinner for One" which is plenty for two.
And I confess that I sometimes agree to go to Tanjore basically solely for their excellent lime soda.
The only thing I haven't liked at Tamarind Bay is their lime soda! =) Otherwise, Tamarind Bay is a far superior Indian restaurant to anything else in Harvard Square (and I would say, Greater Boston).

Diva, a restaurant that I don't love, does a fabulous rack of lamb tandoori. It is the only reason I eat there [well, and the kid loves their tikka masala.]
Occasionally, and for no apparent reason, they squirt some white sauce on top. Don't let this happen to you. Even though the wait staff looks totally baffled when you say 'no sauce', do it anyhow.
