Master board list

I'd be rather surprised if it hasn't been covered in other posts, but I'd like to comment on what seems to be the only way to access more than the few boards that seem to show for my profile on top of my Recent Posts page.

Basically I'm OK with the new changes, though I don't personally see them as any overall improvement. The disappearance of the 'all boards listing' though is kindof a pain. While I didn't really need to see the lists of all the geographic areas I'm not normally interested in, it WAS easier to be able to see ALL the boards at once. In the non-geographic area, what I now see is an abbreviated list of 5 or 6 that I frequent most................ but on any given visit I may wish to access other non-graphic boards and now need to click one more time to see them.

I would guess that the increasing total number of boards is behind this abbreviated structure, but I just want to be counted as one who finds the new path a little annoying. I'm still seeing a bunch of geographic boards I have no interest in, and have to take that one extra step for those I DO want. If what I'm seeing is the result of the software knowing where I've been in each board category and listing boards in that order, why couldn't it just list ONLY the top 25 boards I visit, with a link to all the rest??

Just askin".

Back to the list format.................... It appears that, once I created a full list of favorite boards, clicking on my user name takes me to MY OWN list (above my recent posts) and NOT to the master lists, as it did before. Now THAT's cool!!

I'd also add that the "see all boards" links under each category do not seem to work in Google Chrome. Help!

Are you running a recent version? They work fine for me in Chrome 5.0 on Mac.

          Yes, 5.0.375.126 on Windows.

OK, it might be a Windows-specific bug then... I believe Chrome 6 for PC is out - might want to update and see if it fixes the glitch.

I think the only way to use the new release is to save the boards you are interested in using the new "saved boards" function. Given there is no "show all boards" option for the entire list, this seems to be the most workable option.

Unfortunately the saved boards feature is inoperable when you are using "recent posts" - which inexplicably is on a CHOW page not Chowhound
