need to impress international business clients - saturday lunch near westwood
my office has some important (potential) clients coming in from Korea, visiting for a saturday only. they are curious about any 'must-have' food experiences. i believe timing dictates that we'll need to stay at least on the west side. our side of the party is rather corporate and would likely choose spago if it were near enough. while my taste runs more adventurious, i understand the appeal of the name-recognition.
i'll take obscure-but-stellar (but presentable) and famous-and-tastey suggestions alike. it will probably be a party of 8-10 if that matters.
fire away! (and thanks)

re: Phurstluv
Is the Nobu (11357 Santa Monica Blvd. in WLA) that got automatically linked to your post the one you were actually recommending in your post? I think this was actually a vintage Japanese tchoke shop (that closed not too long ago) owned by Annie Mizutani. Ah, that auto linking feature. What fun it is.

Spago is minutes from Westwood.
But you could go to Tavern in Brentwood, or Craft in Century City? Both owned by famous chefs.

re: yogachik
Craft would be perfect but they're closed for lunch on the weekend. I'd go to Spago. Tavern might be ok for dinner, but their brunch/lunch isn't worth coming to Korea for. Also, you can be confident in the service at Spago, which would be my biggest concern with a party of 10 at lunch.
