Looking for a festive restaurant near Rye, New York

Hi -- Will be staying in Rye, New York with relatives in a few weeks and want to give a 60th birthday party for my husband.... it would be better if the restaurant was near Rye -- but it could be in New York City. we will have about 30 people and looking for something fun and festive! I am looking to spend $40 - $70 per person and looking for maybe a place that has a private room??? Thank you so much for any help!

Private room upstairs at Ruby's. My husband made me a surprise 30th there and it was terrific from start to finish. We love the food and service there. There is a private room at Rye Grill and Bar but I do not think the food or service particularly that good. Just my opinion. What about Nessa in Portchester? I made my mother's 65th birthday there and it was perfect. They were really willing to work me on the per person cost and really tailored the menu well for the group. Great wine, too. It has a fun vibe, but it can sometimes be a bit loud depending on the night. Saturday nights for instance are very busy, but they have a lovely garden that you could ask about. I know people who have done group dinners in the garden and been very happy.

In Rye, LaPanetiere which has a private room up stairs and Thomas Henkelman at Homestead Inn in Greenwich. X2O is great but not near Rye. other side of county.

I looked online and LaPanetiere looks gorgeous -- worried it might be a bit more money -- is there a restaurant that might be a bit less expensive --- I looked at Valbella, Centro, L'escale and Turkish Meze online -- but hard since I do not live there... thank you for any suggestions -- i will look at Thomas Henkelman at Homestead Inn.... are there any wineries --(I'm from california..)

X2O in Yonkers is beautiful with excellent food and a gorgeous view over the Hudson. Not sure about the price, but you could call and ask about the price for a group.

Rye is in Westchester- you're not going to get any useful recs from the Manhattan board. Best to post on the New York State board. There are lots of restaurants in Westchester.
