Best lobster on Westside?

A friend is going out for their anniversary and they want lobster, and they are on the Westside. Originally, they were going to go to the Lobster, but they want to know if there is somewhere better to go. They are more interested in really good lobster, than the restaurant. TIA

the only time I've had whole lobster on the westside was at the Enterprise Fish Company

It was delicious. But I have little or no context for knowing if it was particularly excellent lobster since I have rarely eaten it and even more rarely eaten it fresh. but it was wonderful to my tastebuds.

I agree about Hop Li. Had a great lobster cooked Chinese style - Tell us more about Hop Woo. Was it as good as Hop Li?

The Shanghai lobster with curry sauce and crispy spinach at Wolfgang Puck's Chinois on Main in Santa Monica is great.

I am sorry to say that I recently had a lobster at the Palm and it was so disappointing. The best part of the meal was the creamed spinach. I have had lobster at the Palm dozens of times and the quality is sliding downhill. That last crustacean was an old crustacean. :( I am certain that many restaurants could prepare a lobster well and would also prepare one which is not a geriatric crustacean.

Agree. The shanghai lobster there is one of my top dozen dishes of all-time, anywhere.
I find the lobster at the Palm a pretty good value, but occasionally it is a bit sub-par.

I have no idea if it's still on the menu, but I had a great lobster dish at Michael's once.

Best I've had is at The Palm and they have a special now Summer Lobster Dinner for Two - $89.95 a 4lb Lobster split for two accompanied by two salads and one side . Upgrade to a 5 or 6 lb lobster for $12.50 for each additional pound.
