ISO: Restaurant like Black Hoof, open on Tuesday?

Since the Black Hoof is closed on Tuesday does anyone have a suggestion for a restaurant like it with charcuterie and offal?

Alternatively, what's the best place to have choucroute in the city?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

  1. You might want to consider Cowbell. I was there for a meal last week and enjoyed it.

    1. A friend of mine recommended Red's for its charcuterie. I don't always agree with her recs, but it's open. You may wish to check the menu.

Salt is also relatively new, on Ossington. More of a Spanish tapas feel though.

Not sure off the offal quota for either of these.

Don't know where to get choucroute.

      Good luck!

        1. You're looking for sauerkraut?...Marimba!

          1. Choucroute in this city is pretty much a Thuet thing, he usually has it on his menu.

            1. Buca is open Tuesdays and seems to have plenty of the sort of thing you're looking for.

              1. Got more information on what we are looking for: charcuterie would be nice, small plates, gastropub, or bistro-type restaurant. Just good, simple cooking without being too fancy. Dishes with sauerkraut would be nice.

I'm looking at maybe Cowbell or Queen and Beaver.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions so far, keep them coming!

Q&B over CB. Nicer room, patio and half the price, too.

                2. Thought of going to Torito for dinner tonight but didn't want to head all the way downtown so ended up going to Salt for dinner today. The prawns ala plancha which were excellent and the octopus was nice and tender. Thought the charcuterie and cheese selection were limited so we didn't order any in the end. Finished the meal with some natas at a nearby bakery which was a perfect way to end the evening.

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions!
