Bad news for Mid-City...

I live in Rockville and regularly find excused to go to the Hill and drink Peregrine's coffee. So the new location saves me a few blocks. If we could get one out in Montgomery County, though, THAT would be progress ...

but good news for coffee lovers! I think of Mid-City as more of a hang out, and Peregrine as more of an in and out place. But maybe that's just b/c the Hill location is always packed.

Yes, it is good news for coffee lovers - those who live near 14th St., that is. Don't get me wrong, I love Peregrine, but this news irritates me. There are so many neighborhoods in DC that lack a good coffee shop. 14th St. already has one. I just wish Peregrine were establishing an outpost in a neighborhood with a greater need.

I guess. I'm just happy when any small/local business expands, especially in this economy.

you can always open your own coffee shop where you see a need for one!
