Chicken Friand in NYC???
My boyfriend is from Atlanta. He has fond memories of a dish called "chicken friand" at a restaurant chain called La Madeleine. My online searching leads me to believe that many people like this dish, but I can't find any mention of it being sold in NYC.
Does anyone know of a restaurant in the five boroughs that serves a good "chicken friand"?

They make a Ham Friand at Sugarlounge in Brooklyn. Otherwise, I don't know.
A "Friand" (at least in France) is basically just sausage wrapped in puff pastry - though there could be variations, certainly, with chicken or other proteins. Sauces and such will probably vary from one place to another, though, so the specific dish he had down South you might not find up here.
