New in Cleveland Park: Cacao

The chocolate/French pastry shop Cacao from Bethesda has opened another store in Cleveland Park in the old Coldstone Creamery spot. They have gorgeous pastries, macarons, chocolates, somewhat pricey salads and sandwiches, coffee bar, and baguettes. There's even some seating in there, which is nice. I took a baguette to go and though it wasn't crunchy outside, it had a great chewy texture. I would go back for another baguette, and I love the look of their pastries. Great contribution to the neighborhood. Now we need something like that on U Street!

I am delighted to hear of the demise of Coldstone Creamery, which I loathe. And oh yeah, the addition of Cacao is good news too! I've been to their Bethesda location and like it - this is great news for Cleveland Park.
