Any foodie events coming up in the next week or so?
Unfortunately I was prepping for a catering event and I missed both Taste of the Danforth and the T&T Night Market.
Is there anything else coming up before the summer ends?

There's a similar night market event to be held at the car park of 'Time Square' (corner of Hwy#7 and Leslie) in Richmond Hill on the weekend of August 21-22. Based on last year, selection of food should be more than that offered at the T&T venue. The usual B.B.Q and fried stuff.

There is a Chinese food festival at Harbourfront next weekend. I'm going to hear the talkback for Cheuk Kwan's Chinese Restaurant documentary series. He's going to be interviewed by Lily Cho who just published a book on Chinese Restaurants in Canada. Really looking forward to this as I know the series and have heard Cho interviewed on the CBC several times.

The Hot and Spicy Food Festival is at Harbourfront this weekend, and I think there is another food event there next weekend.

Just a note, as a "foodie" event it isn't anything too special. Pretty much the same vendors there every week in the main "food" area, they have a "hot and spicy" marketplace up on the 2nd level under some tents where they sell a bunch of sauces and other stuff. Sure, it is good to check out if you are in the area but as a food related event they could do so much more. There are also cooking demonstrations but I only caught the end of one.
Tasteto is a good site for checking out event listings related to food...
Has the Blueberry Festival happened before at the Brickworks? Might head down there tomorrow to check it out.

TasteTO looks like a nice page for food happenings.
I agree about the Hot and Spicy Festival. Was there briefly today because I was in the area, and the best part for me was the ambiance and the other food stands there -- ice-cold, super young coconuts, and what was advertised as "Jamie Kennedy Fries".
I am curious about the Blueberry Festival too.

re: Splendid Wine Snob
Sounds like there may be more than one blueberry farm present based on the write up on their site.

Says "wild" blueberries

re: ylsf
Yes, thanks. I already looked at the at the site but thought perhaps someone had more info. "Wild" doesn't say much about the provenance. But sounds like its worth checking out-I'm curious to see what the chefs are cooking up with them. Just had a wonderful bison steak with a Northern blueberry sauce the other night-deelish!
