New spot for surprisingly excellent Dim Sum, Bubor Cha Cha

  • 1

I had walked by here about a week ago and saw a hand-written sign in the window saying $2.50 Dim Sum. In any prior discussions on this board about Dim Sum, I had never heard mention of Bubor. Yesterday I stopped in and although I missed the $2.50 dim sum items (they end at noon), I tried 4 to go: Shu Mai, Har Gau, Pork Ribs in Black Bean Sauce and Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf. I have been numerous times to China Pearl, Hei La Moon, Chau Chau City, Emporer's Garden and Winsor. The Shu Mai and Har Gau were the very best that I have ever had in Boston. The Shu Mai were largely plump, had little pink stuff on top (don't know what that was) and were the freshest and most distinct I have had in Boston. The Har Gau contained very large pieces of fresh shrimp and were also extremely fresh tasting. The Sticky Rice and ribs, while still as good as any I have had in Boston, weren't quite as over the top as the other items. Be forewarned, Bubor does not have rolling carts and everything seemed cooked to order. I was a big fan of Gitlo's when they first opened...this is even better!!

  1. Hmmmm, thanks for the review. I had my eye on their dim sum last few times I was in Chinatown. Glad to hear it is so chow worthy.
