Hokkaido - Roslyn Heights

Back when it was first opened, Hokkaido was the "in" place in the area to go, to see and me seen. Although it still has some who are loyal followers, for some reason it does not attract as many diners as some of the places that have lines out the door. In my opinion, those who don't go to Hokkaido are really missing something. Especially if you go regularly enough to be known by the staff, you can have one of the best sushi meals you have ever eaten. We generally sit at the sushi bar, and between what they order, and the special items they make for us, we have a phenomenal meal. Today, we were really done, but they insisted on serving us a special, yellowtail tartare, that was spectactular, both visually and taste-wise. The photo below doesn't do it justice, but to know that this is the presentation you will get, will have to make you feel that this is something special.
