Good Sushi with oceanview?? HELP

Recently moved to Venice but haven't been able to find a good sushi place with an ocean view. Are there any?? Doesn't have to be IN Venice - Malibu? Santa Monica? Marina del Rey? Redondo?

Thanks for your responses. FYI, I have been to Roku several tiimes. My husband only eats yellowtail and it's ok there...usually. Myself, I would rather have really good sushi and no view but he wants by the ocean....

I'm telling you, go to Catch at Casa del Mar. It's fantastic and the view can't be beat.

Depends what you call good sushi but Sushi Roku in Santa Monica is right by the water.

        irrc,
it is 'right by' the water, but does not have an ocean view, nor, in my opinion, does it serve good sushi.

There are seats at Sushi Roku that have an ocean view.

Just trying to be helpful and not start sushi war MMMCXVII. :-)

None of the sushi places I go to are even close to the ocean so that wasn't going to help OP any.

To be fair, the sushi at Roku isn't bad at all. I ate there recently and it's actually quite good, though not at all in the same league as Mori or Zo. It's trendy a la Katana and the like, which doesn't mean it's bad - it's just not for purists. Depending on what Silkthong's idea of good sushi is, it certainly fits the search criteria.

Can't think of any place in L.A. with a real ocean view. There's always Tomiko in S.D. You could always go to Mori, then drive down to the beach.

I wonder how the ocean view is from the casual Sarku http://www.sarkujapan.com/ in the new Santa Monica Place food court?

There is also Zenga in Santa Monica Place Court. It is definitely not a sushi place by any means, but they do have some rolls on the menu. We had a salmon roll that was amazing.

There is the outside dining terrace, which offers a great view, so one could grab and go. The website for Santa Monica place also lists a place in the food court called Sushi Itto. The much more upscale Ozumo, on the same level, also offers sushi but I am not sure if it provides a to-go option and, unlike most of the other restaurants, does not seem to offer any exterior views at all...except as you are walking out the door.
