Badia a Coltibuono?

any folks out there been to this place for a meal. It does seem lovely and well worth the jouirney from Greve in November?

  1. About as touristy as you can get, plus they use their own products. As you may recall they were fined a few years ago for selling "their" olive oil when it came from elsewhere. Locals go to the trattoria on the square in Greve.

      I totally disagree. The location is lovely, the drive from Greve is pleasant and the food is very good. Plus, the menu offers a number of options that are strikingly different from the usual trattoria fare in Chianti, especially in the fall when the harvest has come in. The estate bottled wine, particularly the RS Riserva, is excellent.

      I say go and have a great and memorable lunch.
