Whole Foods UES - Rumor or Truth?

Has anyone else heard about this, and can confirm/deny? It would be such a treat if it was true!

Whole Foods website says they have a location on 57th Street "coming soon"

When you click on the link, it says it's opening in 2013. I guess "soon" is relative?

I guess it'll go into the new luxury condo that will be built at the site of the school that's been torn down. Yeah, it'll probably take 3 years to build it.

I've heard rumors that it, or a Trader Joes, may go into the old 72nd street cinema space on third ave --possibly why victoria's secret and the bath/body works stores left. now its just the poor runner's roost hanging on by a thread....anyone else hear this?

i thought school being rebuilt?

The school is being rebuilt and will hopefully open in the fall of 2012. The whole foods is in a part of the building and is slated to open in 2013. we live across the street and while I'm very excited about a Whole Foods, I'm nervous about the increase in traffic. The area is already very congested.

I'm hearing rumors about Fairway opening on E. 86th Street (in the former Barnes & Noble location) and Whole Foods opening on East 57th Street (Second Ave(?)).
