Going down to Newport Coast
Going in a couple weeks to the Marriott Time Shares in Newport...been before, but am looking for any recs...fyi, we have two kids, so nothing fancy.
Moderate to inexpensive (including takeout) in Corona Del Mar and Newport would be great.
Please don't recommend Javiers - I'm not returning there.
Thanks.

In addition dining in, the Quiet woman on PCH in Corona Del Mar has take-out
http://www.quietwoman.com/Zincs Cafe has good vegetarian food (even for the carnivores) and desserts.
http://www.zinccafe.com/If you're just looking for sandwiches or maybe a ham dinner and sides, there is also Honeybaked Ham on PCH.
What didn't you like about Javiers?

Gary's Deli in CDM is really good and casual. Great for takeout. Eclectic menu but everything we've had has been yummy... from their oven roasted turkey sandwiches to their tacos. The ladies that work there are really nice too. Parking can tricky but we usually find something in the back.

Try The Galley for breakfast or lunch. It's kind of hidden away off Bayside Drive in Newport; been around since the 40s and is a great spot. Cash only.

Both of these places are "old Newport", before the attack of glitz.-----
