Coming to Long Beach....
tomorrow for a meeting at "The Grand". I will not partake in the company lunch so, where shall I go instead. The Grand is located on East Willow. I will have about 1 1/2 for lunch so, nothing too far away. Open to all types for lunch but, preferably not heavy meat things. He eats meat, I don't.
TIA KQ

Didn't know you were willing to drive. Maybe a little closer 4 miles.
Jongewaard's Bake and Broil. Very popular with CH's, home style food and excellent cakes and pies made on the premises. The perfect lunch place.

re: monku
Thx Monku- Bake N' Broil did the trick. Took the counter 'cuz the wait was long(I had only 1 hr) He had a tukey sammy and LOVED that whole grain bread. I wasn' terribly impressed with anything but, for a lunch spot it was fine. We took away a slice of Red Velvet cake and chocolate cream pie - just ok but, I'd go again.

re: Servorg
Thank you Susans and Servorg. I like the Open Sesame idea. How long will it take - Mapquest says 11 minutes. Really? No traffiic? In my research, I discovered the Lakewood Mall to be close. Saw "George's Greek Cafe". Do either of you know this place?

No responses because the area is void of any decent dining from what I can tell.
You might ask the concierge at the hotel.›2 Replies
