Croissants/baked goods in Sherman Oaks

Having a Sunday brunch this weekend...I want to serve reallly reallly good croissants and baked goods...I don't have the time to drive down to Bite Bakery in WLA...

anywhere else as good in Sherman Oaks vicinity for croissants, muffins, scones, etc?

Different kettle of fish, but check out Natas Portuguese bakery on the north side of Ventura, just west of Fulton. Here's their web address, http://nataspastries.com/. I really like them.

There is a Victor Benes in Gelson's on Van Nuys Blvd. As an alternative for croissants, Trader Joe's frozen croissants and petit pain au chocolat that you let rise and bake yourself are very, very good.
