Sort order
Is there still a way to sort posts by original post date (as opposed to by the date of the latest reply)? I can't seem to figure out how.

Engineering has let me know that they're expecting a fix for this to go in early next week.

re: JMF
If there isn't going to be any sort feature, a flag for threads started 1 or more years ago would be nice. I hate clicking on a specific restaurant thread only to find that it's 4 years old and there's only been the one new comment since then. I've gone into various "best new restaurant" threads to have that happen as well, and when I'm looking for new restaurants, I don't mean those that were new in 2007.

re: queencru
This should have been an easy fix. Or more to the point, they should not have eliminated this feature to begin with. I have essentially given up on chowhound. I have no use for threads that are 3-years old. I want to be able to look at the first page of a board (say, Los Angeles) and see what the new threads are TODAY. If there was something started yesterday and I want to check in on that, I should be able to look at yesterday's threads. It used to be that way. For whatever reason, the powers that be decided to eliminate this rather logical feature. Oh well. I will check back in every so often to see if it's been fixed.

re: Jacquilynne
I do hope they fix this bug. The Boards have become essentially useless to me because it's impossible to determine if a thread is new, or if it's a few years old. I'm interested in the day's new threads. If I wanted to read old threads, I'd search them out. I can't be bothered to click on each thread that might sound interesting, only to find that it's an old discussion.

I'd prefer this, too. I like to see what new topics were posted TODAY, not a new comment on an old thread. If I'm interested enough in the old thread to still check it, I can figure that out on my own. I want to be able to look at the first page of a board (e.g., Los Angeles) and see what new topics have been posted since my last visit.
