RNM is closed. For good?

Just heard that RNM has shut down. Anyone know what's going on with them? The website says they are closed for remodeling. But the sign in the window of the restaurant says the space is for sale.

Does anyone out there know where RNM's maitre d' Robert ended up? We used to drive up to SF from LA to visit a friend and all go to RNM, and he was one of the main reasons (always such a wonderful welcome and goodbye).

Too bad. I'll miss that place. 1550 Hyde and RNM out in the season, too bad.
