Oreos WITH trans fat available in greater LA?

Forgive the low-brow post, but my husband loves Oreos and he really misses the old version, in all its trans fat glory. New Oreos just don't have the right texture...cookies are too brittle, cream barely sticks to the cookie, etc. Do Oreos from Mexico, Canada, or any other country still contain trans fat, and if so, is it possible to purchase them anywhere in LA or OC?

(Yes, I know trans fat is horrible for you...but we eat Oreos so rarely that when we do eat them we want the real thing. Don't judge!)

  1. Your best bet would be to check with Big Lots or 99 Cents Only stores.

Short of that I would try Ebay ...

    1. Check the Japanese market in the same center as Ramen Mottainai in Gardena.

      Ramen Mottainai
1630 W. Redondo Beach Blvd., Suite #9, Gardena, CA 90247

      1. Thanks for the suggestions. I think I'll start with checking the Japanese market and go from there...

Let me know if you find them! I completely agree that the trans-fat free Oreos are pale imitations of the old one. I miss them so much that I wrote a letter to Nabisco to complain and received a note in return saying that extensive testing was done on the new formula and they found no significant differences. Glad I'm not the only one who feels differently!

No significant differences?! What a joke! I haven't had the chance to go Oreo hunting yet, but will certainly report back if I find them.

The key word is "significant". What Nabisco means is that the new Oreos do not taste like chicken.
