Just Desserts...and wine-Calgary

Bananna85 Aug 11, 2010 01:00 PM

We're having a late evening visit with some friends from out of town and we're hoping to head out for a couple glasses of wine and some dessert. We'd like to stick around 17th. Any suggestions?

I thought maybe Vin Room or Jaro Blue, but I've never had dessert at either.

The wine selection at vin room is great, but the desserts are definitely not the main attraction. check the menu online if you want

If you want a truly decadent dessert, I'll second John's recommendations of Cilantro and Brava Bistro - Love both of those spots.

Jaro Blue is an excellent resto but desserts are not their strong point.

You might consider Una Pizza and Wine (small dessert menu but I love what I've had there), Living Room, Cilantro, Milk Tiger, Brava Bistro.

John, I am not a big dessert fan as my idea of dessert is usually another glass of wine or an amaro but am curious about what you enjoyed at Una Pizza.

The next time I am in Calgary I would like to try it.

Bob, if you poke around my blog you'll find my review of it- I think it's posted here too.
