Seeking advice for a place with equal parts great food/great atmosphere -- ideas?

Dyn_O_Mite Aug 11, 2010 10:07 AM

Relatively new out here (2 months) and have been as adventurous as possible trying out the fare here in LA (been to Red O, Cobras, Toscana, Sunnin, Genwa, Haru), and now we're looking for a weekend night place to go that will deliver great food and a lively atmosphere (along the lines of Red O, but not necessarily Mexican, and with all due respect to Mr. Bayless, perhaps a bit better in the food department)...

Any suggestions out there? The help is very much appreciated!

Newcomers to LA should try dinner at the Getty Center some Saturday night.

If you have not been to Animal yet it ought to be next on your list.
