Lunch is easier than dinner!! Billy Goat's Tavern, although usually crowded, has great food. Pacific cod for their fish & chips, and they have a great Kobe beef burger. The original Black Bear Diner is in Mt. Shasta, and while the chain may run hot and cold in other areas of the state, NOT here. They're consistently good in Mt. Shasta, and always worth the wait if there is one. There's a little market one block back that has the best smelling BBQ going on Saturday mornings too.

that barbecue is THE BEST! It is Mt. Shasta supermarket, and they have ribs and chicken every Saturday, all year no matter what the weather, and often on Fridays during summer. Totally worth the stop, it is agrocery, not a restaurant, but they have acouple tables and chairs out front if the weather is nice.

We hit Lily's for a couple of good breakfasts going and coming last month, haven't done lunch there in a while.
I really like the Seafood Molcajete at Casa Ramos for dinner, I assume it's also available for lunch. I hear Trinity Cafe has bounced back, iirc they're dinner only.
