Business Dinner in Union Square/Flatiron/Gramercy - short notice!

Help! My boss needs dinner for five at 7:00 tonight - american or continental preferred, price not really an issue. Any suggestions for these areas? Fashion industry folks. Thanks for your help!

A quick check of OpenTable shows Tocqueville has a table for 5 at 7:30. You could call the restaurant directly to see if they could do 7 p.m.

Toqueville is not right for a group of fashion industry types. Craft is much more the right vibe. And it's a very good restaurant.

I was able to get a reservation at Craftbar - Craft was a no go. Thoughts? Is Toqueville too stuffy, in your opinion?

That did occur to me about Tocqueville. I've not been to Craft, but you're probably right that it would be more suitable. The trick is to get a reservation for 5 people at 7 p.m. If that's not possible, what other restaurants in the stated areas do you think would work, presuming they could get a table?
