Two quick questions

In Montreal for a few days and looking for Angnostura bitters and good fresh fish. Any suggestions on where I can find either? Many thanks.

There are many places that sell good fresh fish. Most farmers markets have a fishmonger. Look in Jean-Talon, Atwater, Gidney's on Marcel-Laurin, les marché gourmand in Laval...

What area of Montreal are you in?

It might be an idea to clarify whether the OP is looking for a place to buy fresh fish or a restaurant that serves fresh fish.

Angostura Bitters should be easily found in most supermarkets (?) I haven't looked for it in ages, but it seems I see it often.

For fish, you can have a look at what is available at the stores at Jean-Talon Market, or maybe at Falero or Norref.

Yes, many supermarkets stock Angostura Bitters.

The only fishmonger I'd recco at either Jean-Talon or Atwater market is Atkins/Délices de la mer, and their selection is limited and the fish is largely filleted. Montreal's just not a city for fish, especially of the pristine, springy fresh variety. Besides Atkins/DDLM, I usually have the best luck at Nouveau Falero, Norref, Coralli and Gidney's. La Mer has the biggest selection but quality is unreliable.
