I'll be at the WGA Theater tonight.

Can anyone suggest a 'hound-quality spot to eat? I'm open to anything good.

Criteria: Casual

Thanks!

Kate Mantellini is on the corner, it will work in a pinch.

Personally I find the food at Kate Mantelini quite insipid, although if you don't want to move the car, it might be your only option.
I've heard good things about Pistachio Grill, a Persian place at 8560 Wilshire. There's also Cobra Lily, which is certainly better than Kate Mantelini, although a little farther east.

Hi.. Um, isn't Maurya (Indian cuisine) right -- and I mean, RIGHT -- there? (151 S. Doheny, just south of Wilshire). I guess one could describe it as a sort of artsy take on Indian food, in the way that Bombay Cafe on the westside might be considered. Anyway, its as near to where you are going as one can get, I do believe...

Maurya is, indeed, next door to the WGA Theatre. It's a door to the south. Great decor and excellent Indian food.

Far, far better than Kate Mantilini. Do try it!
