local tofu?

I'm just starting to experiment with cooking tofu and am wondering if anyone has any favorite brands? Any locally produced in Chicago? Any stores on the northwest side where it's always fresh? I'm specifically looking for medium-firm types to fry and use in soups. I'm also open to recipe suggestions!

I didn't see anything on the boards so far... but I did see a review here: http://www.seriouseats.com/2010/03/th...

Phoenix Tofu is made in Chicago at a factory at Argyle & Broadway. They have a store there I think, but I also find it easily at Jewel & other local stores.

I am very fond of the store-made tofu at H Mart in Niles.
