Restaurant for wedding dinner in south metro?

Looking for a place with a private room or area for 15-20 people for a Friday evening dinner following a wedding. Date is late January and the ceremony will be close to 494 and 100 (Bloomington) or Gleason Road and 62 (Edina).

Since it'll be winter we don't want to have to go too far, so we're looking for something nicer, hopefully not chain-retaurant or too non-descript. We have both meat-lovers and vegetarians in our group as well.

We love places like W.A. Frost, The Strip Club, Muffuletta's, Rinata, Al Vento, NE Social, etc.

Thanks so much!

Check out 5120 Restaurant & Onyx Bar. It is located on American Blvd., and is a stones throw away from the highway 100 & 494 crossing. There is a beautiful English glass Conservatory, marble fireplaces, waterfall, chandeliers, etc. You can check the place out at www.5120mn.com

How far south are you talking? I'm curious what people think of Enjoy in Apple Valley. I've never been there myself.

+1 on Ciao Bella, good restaurant and should suit your size party.

Another is the new Parma 8200. I have been there a couple times and they have a nice private room that can be closed off that would be really nice and the food so far has been really good.

Not sure if they have a private room after the Colette "remodel", but there might be a private dining option in the Hotel Sofitel that would be close to where you are talking about.

Bummer on Ciao Bella because I like the food, but they have no private space. I know that even though we are smaller we could fit in and amongst the populace, but I just don't want to!

I'll check into the Armatage Room, I do love Maude...Thanks!

        Couple ideas.

Armatage room at Cafe Maude. It is in Minneapolis, but a short distance from Edina, and right off 62. It seems like just the right size.

The second is Ciao Bella, a sister restaurant of Zelo. Good menu for a variety of tastes, and right between both of your options.
