New To Grosse Pointe
I am looking for quality foods served for lunches in the area. I like all ethnic foods and don't shy away from the odd (according to most).
I have had the high end stuff at the Hill and the low end burgers of Burger Pointe. They are good. But I would love to find those secret spots that people find after growing up in an area. I have only been here for 3 months and moved from a tropical country where the food is 100% different than here. I miss street meat and pigs tail!
Anyone know of anything unique or worth while to die for in the areas around here?

Hmm. I'm tempted to send you to Bambu as well, but you'll probably want to stop by first and talk to Brandon Kahlich himself, first. Brandon was a top resort chef in Thailand before coming back to the US, so he'd probably relish the opportunity to cook off the menu, but he'd have to know about it beforehand.

I recommend a 15 minute drive to Hamtramck - there I like Aladdins for Indian/Bangladeshi; Royal Kebab and Yemen Cafe for Arabic; there is a good Bosnian restaurant on Caniff; Polish Village and Under the Eagle for Polish and Amicci's on Jos Campau make pretty good pizza
