Our last two nighst in the city- need help choosing dinner.
Hello all-
I am having a hard time choosing between Zuni, Bar Tartine, Foreign Cinema and Flour + Water for dinner.
We are leaning towards Bar Tartine and Flour + Water, but I want some thoughts on this. Each of the above places "fit" into what our tastes and wallets enjoy.
We will be in the city the last week of Sept and staying near union square. Other places we will be eating at are- Nopa, Wayfare Tavern, Mustards Grill, La Costanera.
Thanks.

I would check to see where you can get reservations -- Flour + Water is a tough reservation, and a long wait if you go without one. Considering the other places that you're going, Bar Tartine and Flour + Water seem like good choices.

Hi. Definitely dine at Flower and Water but book quickly as it's very hard to get into. We ate there twice last week during 6 nights in SF - once with a booking and once without (about a 30 min wait but can be over an hour). Fantastic food that changes daily - by far the best place we ate at, although we did also enjoy Commonwealth. Wayfare Tavern is also vg - we really enjoyed a lunch of marrow, deviled eggs, steak tartare, Maine lobster and mac & cheese - and yip, we ate at F&W that night.
