Il Focolaio Square Philips - Just Pizza?
Does Il Focolaio have salads, fish and pasta too? And if so, has anyone tried it? What are your the best toppings - your faves? Your thoughts please!

I ordered the Carre Phillips pizza today (its pretty much an all dressed pizza) and it was great my only complaint is that the bottom of the pizza tasted like it had been dusted with too much flour. It would be nice if there was slightly more sauce on the pizza too. Slightly overpriced but makes sense considering the location also its probably the best delivery pizza you can get downtown.
The menu is annoyingly extensive and the pizzas are listed in random order each with a little symbol next to its name indicating whether it is meat, vegetarian, tofu, or seafood oriented (why the pizza arent separated into those groups is beyond my comprehension) and I think there should be fewer pizza types listed. Having 75 pizza types isnt something to brag about in my opinion- its an indication that you are over-thinking things and should narrow your focus.
No pasta but they have calzones, salads and subs and as others mentioned there is a sausage dish. And a few desserts. -
I was just talking about Il Focolaio with some friends this evening and I figured I'd been at about a dozen times in the past year. The pizzas are all delicious. I agree with sweettooth about the volcano calzone, though be warned, it could feed two reasonable appetites.
My favorite pizza is the Roma? Romano? The one with tomato slices and oregano. It's simple and perfect.
They have salads for sure, I don't think they have fish or pasta, but they do have seafood toppings available on pizzas.
Another note: the turnaround time from giving your order to eating your pizza is remarkably fast. I suspect the pizza makers are psychic and have your order in the oven even before you have finished reading the menu.
