Hello all,

Lately I've been on a Currywurst kick and I've been trying to find somewhere in Queens that sells Curry Ketchup. Anyone know of such a place?

Thank you.

    Hi jpmorganmtb,

Curry ketchup has arrived in Queens. It can now be found at the Zum Stammtisch Pork Store. Here's a link:

        Hi jpmorganmtb,

According to d18black in his post here:

        http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/774446

"The Empire meat market in College Point sells curry catsup."

Don't know, but this might be more convenient for you wherever you're located.

There's a bottled product sold in Indian stores that may be what you're looking for. It is Maggi-brand Chatpat Sauce. Variously described as a tomato chutney or an Indian-style spicy tomato ketchup. Quite the yum used any way you'd use tomato ketchup.

        Hi jpmorganmtb,

AAHHH!!! I thought it was just me!!!! I LOVE this stuff!!!!

I wish I had good news but I have been looking for curry ketchup locally off and on for years and never found it. I've tried Burcher Block in Sunnyside, Euro Market in Astoria and various Eastern European or even Middle Eastern groceries to no avail.

I always have to ask friends visiting from Europe to smuggle back some (though I guess I could order it on line - though I don't usually do that).

Dang! I wish it had occurred to me to ask this board!

Keep your fingers crossed that someone knows a local store!
