Any recommendations for Ludington, MI?

Hi everyone! Looking to make a weekend dash to Ludington MI, which is supposed to be a lovely little town on Lake Michigan. But I don't want to go there if I can't eat some decent food...

any thoughts? I'm a vegetarian, but will eat fish if pressed, so I don't have to have a vegan restaurant or anything.

    Decent food...
Blue Moon Cafe on James Street in Ludington. Not only decent, but GOOD food.
Luciano's on the corner of US 10 and James St. in Ludington...GOOD Italian Food.
Bones and Butts on North James Street. Excellent BBQ ribs and chicken. Great service.

i've been here for 15 years and these are the best restaurants i've experienced. as far as PM Steamers, Scotty's and House of Flavors, if you're looking for FRESH GOOD food, those aren't it.

PM Steamers isn't what it used to be but still worth checking out, and Scotty's was good the one time I checked it out. A bit more lowbrow but pleasant was House of Flavors - the smelt was a pleasant surprise; they have decent turkey. But the must-visit option is Bortell's about 20 minutes out of town at 5528 South Lakeshore Drive. Outstanding smoked and fried fish. I've had smoked salmon, trout and whitefish and fried walleye and whitefish and recommend them all. I regret not getting the fried lake trout last time - not available in too many places. Just a store with a few benches.
