Looking for Restaurant Suggestions on Main Line

Looking for a nice restaurant to take the in-laws in the Ardmore, Narberth, Haverford, Bryn Mawr (etc.) area. I am not too familiar with restaurants in that area.

They like old-school meat and potato places, nothing fancy, nothing funky and no ethnic restaurants.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

What about Meridith's in Berwyn or 333 Belrose in Radnor. Not sure if they would be considered "too fancy" but they server "American" fare.

The New Tavern in Bala Cynwyd will make them happy- my mom loves it. http://www.thetavernrestaurant.com/

i agree with The Tavern in BC it's upscale/senior. if you want to see seniors ordering their fourth Manhattan and be the youngest in the crowd (average age 80+) try Gillane's in Ardmore --it faces the Partyland parking lot.

I am not exactly an old fart yet, but enjoy the Tavern in BC. I live less than half a mile from the place. Best roast turkey platter anywhere (for the same price as a burger.)

Thanks so much for the great suggestions everyone! I have never heard of the New Tavern before, but it looks like it definitely fits the requirements for this dinner. The menu and the location is perfect!

Again, thanks for all your help!
