Los Angeles to Sequoia National Park
Making the drive from Los Angeles to Sequoia National Park in a few weeks. Looking for suggestions (outside of LA area) for good places for lunch. Wife is a pescatarian, I'll eat anything at least once. Ethnic food always a plus with our group.
Also, any microbreweries along the way? Would love to take a growler or three camping with me.
Thank you and hoping you're having a GREAT summer!

If you're up for some ethnic food in Bakersfield and want to keep the wife happy as well, I'd look at the Desi Cafe (Indian), La Costa Mariscos (Mexican; shrimp plates are the specialty!), or Great Castle ( Chinese; a staple in Bakersfield).
Lengthwise is great as well - a lot of nice brews, typical brewery food.

I remembered the fruit stands along the Tulare-Lindsay road. All the lovely summer fruits, nuts, olives, and they sell Pomegranate juice in the fall.
"The road to Lindsay, California... is straight as a string once you leave Tulare and head East on California Highway 137. Three miles out of Lindsay you come to a four-way stop where fruit stands offer travelers fresh strawberries, tomatoes, pomegranates, oranges, almonds, and pistachio nuts."

If you're driving thru Bakersfield, there's Lengthwise Brewing on White Lane about 4 miles West of Hiway99. You could try Benji's on Rosedale Hiway (West 58) about 1/2 mile west of Hiway 99. From White Lane North to Rosedale Hiway is about 5 miles.
