Best Buffalo Wings in SF?

darogo Aug 3, 2010 05:37 PM

I had noted on another thread that I thought the best Buffalo Wings in SF were at Kezar on Stanyan. In the 12 years I've been here, they are hands down the best I've had. They most reminiscent of that East Coast style, deep fried and then slathered in hot sauce, served with the side of blue cheese and celery. Second best I've had is at Social Kitchen and Brewery, a new place that opened up a 9th and Irving. Any other places I'm missing? Would love to keep trying wings...

Drat, now you've got me craving B-wings here in Vancouver, no luck I fear. I didn't see a post from you on this thread http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/4219... (unless you have a new handle) which starts in 2005 and comes up to March of this year. Did you check it out for suspects? :-)

I know you said SF, but I have to give a huge shout-out for the wings at Pyramid Brewery on Gilman in Berkeley. The sauce is served on the side, but the wings are deep-fried, plump, and soooo moist. I live on the Peninsula, but if I know I'm going anywhere near Berkeley, I make a point to stop there just for the wings. Of course, the beer isn't bad. :)

goodeatsgal, i'll have to keep that in mind. i don't make it to berkeley that much, but maybe next time i'm over there i'll give pyramid a whirl, but i don't really like their beer so....
