Just had a fantastic meal at Criollo Latin Kitchen in Flagstaff.. right on San Francisco St downtown. Incredible! Locally grown and sustainably raised ingredients and handcrafted Latin-inspired dishes. Reasonably priced. Wonderful service and great wine selection. Warm environment, original paintings.. wow. The best mixed salad I've had in a while.. baby greens fresh-picked today with sliced red and yellow peppers and avocado, toasted pepitas, and a great subtle vinaigrette. Masa and coconut fried calamari with mango slaw and cilantro aioli.. very delicate and addictive. Fresh tomato soup. Rellenos vegetales with local vegetables and spiced polenta. FIVE STARS!!!

The lunch buffet at Delhi Palace (located in the Walmart shopping center) is really excellent. I used to live in Tucson and once I ate here I stopped going to Indian restaurants when I got home - they just didn't compare. Now I live in Prescott and would rather drive the hundred miles to Delhi Palace than go to my local Indian.

One spot I love is Tinderbox Kitchen. Excellent food and friendly service. Small spot - the chef and general manager are cousins and co-owners. They're open for lunch too, but I've only been there for dinner.
