Mythos Ouzeri on Parc for Wedding

Hello,

I need advice please:

I am having my wedding reception at Mythos Ouzeri (20 people) and I have reserved a table in the basement in the very back; however, I am afraid it will be too loud for some. There will be a two-year-old baby, and elderly woman and a few adults who cannot stand noise. I am debating changing the reception to the upstairs part, but I am afraid it will be "boring" Can anyone please tell me if they think the downstairs is way too loud and people will be unhappy?

I don't understand where the "loud" will be coming from ? you ? or something else in the room ? If you move upstairs how will that be boring ? because you will not feel free to "party" like you want to ?

Hi,

There is a live band in the basement on Saturday nights and I have read reviews stating that people find it overwhelming. I did go on a Saturday night to check it out while the band was playing, but I have a tolerance for loud music while my boyfriend said he felt like he had to scream too much to talk. We also did not stay for very long, so I am wondering if it is OK at first but then gets annoying after several hours. As for "boring," I just mean that since it is our wedding I wanted it to feel more lively as opposed to a regular, quiet dinner...thanks.

Of course it will be loud, very loud and I'm assuming that if your reception is only 20 people (and you know you are getting the tables in the back) that you are obviously not getting the place to yourself. You are aware that you will be sharing the basement with regular customers who could potentially get loud themselves as they are there for their personal enjoyment just as you will be.

Yes, I don't mind about privacy or noisy customers...just really want to know if the music is simply loud or outright overwhelming and annoying.

Perhaps you should really consider stopping in on an upcoming Saturday night when the band is there and gauge the sound level in person? It's something so subjective and your wedding is such an important event that if it were me, I'd want to check it out in advance to be sure it meets my needs exactly.

If you're there on a saturday night, yes it will be very loud. The upstairs is more sedate but they have a pianist playing and I think it will be more suitable for your event. The downstairs can get loud and pretty rambunctious!
