Hamptons and Montauk dinner suggestions
Hi All,
I am traveling with my parents next week in the Hamptons and Montauk. I am searching for a reasonable priced dinner for one evening and a more elaborate meal for another night. I was hoping that over the course of the two dinners I could fulfill the following requests: on the water, white table cloths, has an entree salad, lobster roll, great seafood, people watching (sceney) and a decent spot for dessert. Any recommendations either either South or East Hampton would be much appreciated. Any suggestions for areas to drive through for great house viewing or spots to walk around and sight see? Does anyone know if there is a farmers market on Sundays out east?
Thanks in advance for your help!!

The Boathouse in Easthampton will fill most of your requirements, not positive about the lobster roll but they have lobster. http://easthamptonboathouse.com/ You also have East Hampton Point right down the road (Three Mile Harbor), I believe they are connected with Cittanuova, but for the scene, Boathouse seems to be the place this year. Both will be high priced, you have to pay to sit on the water. For less expensive, you have Lobster Inn in Southampton, they are on the water but family style and I'm guessing lobster roll may be on the menu. It's getting more popular at regular restaurants lately, instead of just shacks.
You have farmers' markets in Southampton on Sunday (behind Parrish Museum), Sag Harbor Saturday, East Hampton at Nick and Toni's on Weds (unless the town closed them down? they were the most popular), Montauk on Thursday and Bridgehampton on Friday.

I think there aren't too many restaurants on the water in the Hamptons, but in Montauk there are quite a few. I'll leave the locals/frequent vacationers to answer your inquiry further, but I just had a nice meal at Fishbar which is in Montauk and on the water. They had good seafood and white tablecloths. I've heard that Navy Beach is nice and on the water.
