Shot in the dark, David Chang "like" restaurant in Somerville?
Friend mentioned a new chef/restaurant in somerville that had hints of Momofuku. Can't seem to find anything, but we recall there was a new chef that was compared to David Chang in the Globe. Can anyone help. Thanks.

been to both- comparison isn't a total stretch. They're riffing on some similar themes. they both have those pork buns- guess that's de rigeur for asian-based places nowadays thanks to Chang and probably a big moneymaker. But folks are right that it's very much its own thing. I think it's subtler than momofuku and though also very pork-oriented, not as much of a fat/salt assault (not necessarily a bad thing in M's case, but it is super intense). I really like East By Northeast. I think it's one of the best restaurants in the area if you approach it on its own terms- many small plates, lots of pork, take a few chances.
