Market at the W's new menu?

Anyone try Market's new summer menu? Looks like a completely different menu then the one they had in the Winter.

How does Market compare these days to Craigie or Ten Tables? Market has a very nice price of $58 for 5 courses!

  1. I ate at Market in May or so, and the menu was similar (if not entirely the same). Had a wonderful meal there with a friend.

The tuna with citrus-chili emulsion and their fried clams with the basil salt are to die for. My DC shies from sushi and raw meats/seafood in general, but she was curious enough to try the tuna and loved the flavors. We both were seriously considering licking the plate afterwards. Their fried clams are also crazy addicting, especially with the sweet chili dipping sauce.

For entrees I had the lobster which was excellent, and my friend opted for the 5-course prix fixe. The lobster was well-cooked, and still preserved a lot of its delicate natural sweet flavors. My DC said her dishes were really good and everything looked terrific, but after two apps I was too stuffed to try her food. The waiter told us that if one person does the 5-course tasting, the rest of the table normally has to as well, but because we were in for an early dinner (5:30ish) and they weren't busy yet, they allowed only one of us to order the tasting.

One of my favorite things about Craigie is their non-alcoholic drinks. Market didn't quite match with interesting mocktails, but they have a small number of house-made sodas that made me happy. We non-drinkers are often such a neglected lot.

Never been to Ten Tables, but between Craigie and Market, I'd still opt for Craigie, but Market by no means disappointed.
