Cheapest Food in Jerusalem
I'm a graduate student studying at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and for the last 6 months, I've been feeding myself on 50 NIS a week. I'd like to change up my food routine a little bit and was hoping for some great suggestions on the best food deals in Jerusalem ... every shekel counts!
Thanks!

On that budget, I presume that you're mostly eating at home. As a former HU student, my first advice would be to avoid the Mr Zol's in French Hill and shop mostly at the shuk - either Machene Yehuda or even cheaper would be the vendors outside of Damascus gate. Once you get inside the Old City the price does go up a bit.
Also, outside of Damascus gate on Fridays and Saturdays, there are street vendors selling kebabs for 10 NIS. They're amazing, and possibly the cheapest prepared food I know of in the city.
