Lunch in San Diego - Seafood & Mexican

We will be in San Diego for business this coming week. All of our meals are already planned out except 2 lunches. We really would like to do seafood one day and really good mexican the other.

We are staying downtown at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, but also will be doing things at the Loew's Coronado Bay. So one day lunch could be around the Loew's.

Any help would be appreciated greatly!

Loews is a though destination- there's not a lot out there. But that's OK, the food there has always been pretty good. Depending on the number in your party, try the San Diego Water Taxi if you want to cross the bay. Might not be enough time for a good lunch, though.

      I'd eat at Loews.

Walking from the Hyatt you can go to Tin Fish, right next to Petco Park. Reasonable and very good.

Roys is located along the walkway, just south of your hotel has a great lunch including a prefixe that is fantastic.

You can always try POINT LOMA SEAFOOD, which is a local market in POINT LOMA that also prepares sandwiches, a few salads and some fish plates. It is very local and looks like mayhem, but they will get your order to you quickly. You order from the counter man or woman and seat yourself. They do have indoor seating with a view of the docks.

Seafood Lunch walking distance from Grand Hyatt: Roy's (2 min. walk), Tin Fish (8 min. walk and very casual), Fish Market (5 min. walk).
Mexican food near Grand Hyatt: El Vitral (8 min.)

Lunch while at Loew's: other poster is correct, nothing around. Eat at Loew's.

            Will you have a car?

I'd suggest lunch at the Mariscos German sit-down on Ocean Blvd. (actually not far between Downtown and Coronado) or Mariscos Godoy in Chula Vista. Mexican AND seafood. Frees up another lunch...
