I've only ever really eaten at Koutouki's and Yanni's and it was Koutouki for the win.

Koutouki is probably best in town, food good though a bit over priced. Never really liked the atmosphere, but could ignore it for good food. Now that the original family is selling/closing them not sure how they'll be.
Yianni's is horrible, but it's way better than Grub Med.

My friend raved about Grub Med. Went there for dinner with some friends and was Soooooooo disappointed. Had the roasted lamb and thought, "wow, I always loved my mom's lamb and never realize how good it really was" This lamb, their recommended dish was awful
Ate at Syrtakis about 2 years ago and it was also a disappointment. Used to be good in the 90s.
I agree with Koutouki. Good but, expensive. Didn't realize they were selling. Too bad. Someone needs to step up and supply this city with good greek

I understand that Theo has moved to the Leduc location and sister and brother-in-law are running the 124th Street Koutouki. Mom and Dad have left or are leaving for Victoria....after years of operating the Brown Cow, Grub Med, Theo's, Yianni's and the various Koutouki's they are supposed to start taking it easy I suppose....mind you it would not surprise me at all to find a Victoria operation the next time we visit as you cannot keep the restauranteer and entertainer like Yianni down for long.
A major disappointment is that with Theo heading to Leduc, the Ouzeria was closed leaving us without a good spot in the west end as I too have been disappointed by Syrataki.

I didn't know they owned Grub Med too! And yes, I'd be very surprised if they didn't set up something in Victoria. To go from that many restaurants to nothing would be almost impossible for that man. He needs some sort of weening process :P

Not saying they owned it livetocook but likely had a piece of it at least. One half was Spartacus Pizza and the other half, Grub Med.
It was where I first Theo and sister who were just wee tykes at the time.

It's All Greek to Me - great moussaka and calamari
I used to go to Syrtaki quite a bit but haven't gone in a few years so I can't say if the food is still good.
